FOREWORD
“Most Outstanding Mayors Awards” has been prompted
Twith the presence of the 2013 elections wherein new
Mayors will be staying the course or replaced by new candidates.
The “Outstanding” status cannot be recognized with new entrants
obviously with only months into their promotions as is the criteria.
The 2013 presentation has come to allow its participants and
awardees to succeed the 2012 awards recently bestowed.

Awards are a symbol, branded as such - given to people to recognize
their excellence in a specific field to certify their successes.
The rational for these awards is to identify if not to compliment
their work. The need for awards is to celebrate the achievements
bestowed. To amplify this recognition is for the perusal of the
awardee in whichever way they deem necessary. To place this
recognition at center stage is no less than SMI/ Superbrands
Marketing International Inc., the Philippines global brand arbiter for
products and services to justify the matrix of recognition required
for these awards.

The Most Outstanding Mayors Awards is launched to justify the
recognition of the awardees who have participated. The effort
to succeed is not necessarily limited to the Most Outstanding
Mayor who with their passions have achieved these well-deserved
recognition. This publication will serve as a testament towards the
goodwill and the morally sound contributions our Mayors have
provided towards nation building.

Local government is the backbone of government’s deliverables to
the people for services on education, health, security, environment,
etc. Without the active support of our local leaders there can be no
national government to speak of. There is a saying “the work of a
Mayor is never done”. The prevailing thought is for the sustaining
passion to commit to a brighter future by improving oneself, to
innovate and make perfect when necessary any endeavor set out to
achieve. This commitment to improve our community is all about
the successes of our Mayors. It is thru this commitment we have
identified the “Most Outstanding” amongst our Mayors.
This criterion has served the purpose of this publication as we
celebrate the achievements of the Most Outstanding Mayor
nominated by SMI.
