Most Outstanding Mayor Award 2014
Health
We aim to promote a healthy citizenry in Cauayan City.
Therefore, our efforts continuously focus on projects such as
breastfeeding and feeding programs to prevent malnutrition,
celebration of and participation in nutrition month, the national
disability prevention and rehabilitation week, Elderly Week, Alay
Lakad: The Ben Annual Walk for a Cause and the Senior Citizens’
Affair, medical, dental, and optical missions in different barangays
to cater the health needs of the people, especially the senior citizens
and the handicapped, distribution of mosquito nets as dengue
prevention campaign, implementation of the “Alkansiya Para sa
Buntis” program to give financial assistance to pregnant women,
and budget has been allotted for the construction of additional
buildings for Rural Health Units (RHU) I and RHU II, lying-in clinic
in RHU II, RHU III in Tanap region, and the Phil Health coverage
of indigents for immunization, anti-rabies and dengue prevention.
Our concerted commitment in providing such health
programs made us deserving to be awarded as the 2013 National
and Regional Outstanding Winner in Nutrition.
Infrastructure
Infrastructures are also among the top priorities of this
administration. At the end of December 2013, six projects have
already been completed such as the Multi-Purpose Building in
Sitio Manalpaac and electrification of fifty housing units in Sitio City Sports and Recreation Arena, Waste Water Treatment Plant,
Manalpaac, Barangay San Pablo, three road openings in Dacanay olympics-sized public swimming pool, expansion of transportlinks,
Estate, Coloma Subdivision, and Bala Street, San Fermin, and road construction projects with drainages and bridge component
awarding of Home Lot Certificate to sixty eight beneficiaries in from the P150 million loan from Land Bank of the Philippines.

Honest Government
As a government of transparency and accountability, we
re-launched the Good Morning Isabela program and utilized the
Cauayan City Official Website with the aim of making our people
more involved, interactive, and informed about all the transactions
of our City Government. We implemented a computerization
project for the inclusion of information systems in the different
departments to prevent red-tape transactions and upgrading of
our official website to allow online transactions for the payment
of taxes, fees, and other city charges, thus, we created the City
Information Technology and Communications Office.
